Founder

Dear Readers, Scholars & Friends,

Anna Shulgat, She is a scholar on Drama, theatre & theatre studies. She is an author & translator. She graduated from St. Petersburg Theatre Arts Academy with degree in Theatre Studies. She is a Fulbright visiting scholar. Anna got an MFA in Dramaturgy from the State University of New York. She is a Research Associate at the Stanislavsky Centre & Consultant Translator for Stanislavsky Studies. She is a member of of the Writers’ Union of St. Petersburg & Advisor for the programme, Cultural Fellowships of The Likhachev Foundation in St. Petersburg. The Foundation is responsible for promoting mutual understanding and partnership between Russia and Western countries; extending support to those Western cultural experts who wish to have better knowledge on Russia, and who appreciate Russia and its cultural heritage. Besides translating more than 17 books, Anna Shulgat has published a large number of articles & essays on theatre and translation.
